British Columbia, Canada

2018

Ampjack completed a corrosion risk mitigation project for BC Hydro in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada during October and November 2018.

Cathodic protection systems were installed to extend the life of 65 existing lattice towers throughout five high-voltage transmission lines ranging from 230-500 kV. Activities included clearing obstacles, traversing mountainous terrain, excavating on extreme side slopes, installing sacrificial magnesium anodes, electrical wiring, testing/commissioning, backfilling, grading and restoration of the disturbed areas.

Ampjack overcame numerous obstacles including steep terrain, rocky soils, and wet weather while still completing the project on schedule and on budget.
